• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I like the sound of this. I can't imagine that it's worth much money but it just feels right.

In other words, they couldn't get anyone to sponsor us.

I'll eat my sofa is we are getting paid for this.

Very warm and romantic of course, but that doesn't pay the bills.

Hope we haven't turned down a better offer for something "local".

Suspect there might be some Fairwood related dealings in there somewhere. The Uni taking up more of the maintenance expenses maybe.

If we have turned down a better offer then it must mean we aren’t as hard up for cash as some people think.

I doubt Yoyo Bet or whatever other pretend company that's been on the shirt for the last couple of years paid us anything either.

At last there is a Swans shirt I will buy for the first time since Swansea.com. (I do have a Travel House one that never sees the light of day). All betting companies can get fckd!

Well quite. The notion that the club would have turned down a better offer for this is naive. Or indeed any offer. The previous sponsor no longer exists I believe.

With the financial strain on the HE sector and particularly the strain Swansea Uni are under at the moment, I very much doubt that there is much (if any) monetary injection to the club. I can only assume there is some kind of Fairwood deal included.

They are in bigger financial strife than the club- must be related to Fairwood

Congratulations to our club, I say. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8644775/Swansea-City-highest-profile-football-team-ditch-gambling-company-shirts.html

Heads up for all you kit fanatics - it's officially released at 1pm today. However the app at least has a full view picture of the home kit; it looks extremely nice with a black to white fade upwards from the bottom of the shirt.

Did it ever exist?

Great to be advertising local establishments / businesses.
But TBH I think the college could have made a better design than just printing their prospectus badges and lettering.
IMO Swansea.com still far and away the best design.

That’s a very good question
