• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The main opposition was an unpopular candidate representing a very unpopular party. I don’t remember the numbers but I do remember turn out being down on the previous mayoral elections, a sign that the population viewed them all as a bit meh.
Can only beat what's in front of you.

Is he perfect? Of course not. But people ignore the grubby deal the Pig Humper cut with Bunter to delay the cuts to funding until he became an MP. Of course that's going to have an impact, as was bunter's financial incompetence that Khan tidied up before COVID.

True.

The Boris baggage has now mostly gone and the focus should rightly be on his delivery of manifesto pledges. There are some big targets written into it.

Best Mayor based on what?... I'm truly interested to know!

What's all this Daily Mail, Sun stuff?
He’s been elected three times

Turnout was down about two per cent so not significantly. And the previous government changed the mayoral election to first last the post in an effort to gerrymander it in favour of the Tory candidate. Obviously it didn’t work for a couple of reason, Khan is pretty popular in London and the Tory candidate was utterly horrific and thick as a canteen mug.

Susan Hall; the epitome of a gene pool that desperately needs a lifeguard

My use of the word opposition was a bad choice, Susan Hall was never that. Dreadful candidate.

Absolute utter f*cking rubbish, best Mayor London has had, stop reading the Sun
But the Sun is a left wing paper compared to the Daily Mail, the Express and GB News. Now all primary school children get free school meals, which for some of them will be the only hot meal of the day. And last year he built more council houses than the rest of the country put together. I'm a Labour member who didn't vote for him last time, but he's better than Tory appointments such as Sir Gavin Williamson or Michelle Money. The Tories are hypocrites.

95% of politicians shouldn't be near any honours lists, self serving parasites the lot of them, there are thousands far more worthy.
That said the whole farce of it all is way past its sell by date.
