On another cup run, playing some great football as i have been informed.

2 or 3 former Jacks in the starting line up when they beat Watford last night. Brandon Cooper on loan from Swansea too.

i think it is safe to say that County are fast becoming every Swans supporters second team. :)

Please discuss.

Newport are doing great, it probably would have been better for Welsh football if Wrexham had won that Wembley play off final but that wasn't to be.

Pincer movement Tramps. Us on the western front, them on the eastern front. What’s there not to like?

i cannot comment on the past as i don't remember anything pre 1988 when county was last in the league, probably because i was only a few years old .
So what else happened since? A coin being thrown at an official, a few lads being chased on the motorway? I'm genuinely asking about any other skirmishes. Nothing compared to them lot down the road though i imagine?

I watched them a few times in their hay day, they had no firm, all the singing was by us 'observers', we was there for Kaardiff big police presence, another time we walked into a boozer full of gas heads close to the rugby ground on the way to Somerton and that was eventful, Newport for us was a good day out at the time, drinking in the newfoundout in the town centre was an absolute eye opener, I've drank in a fair share of spit and sawdust boozers but that place took the biscuit.
Newport was on the verge of going up to the second tier and Cardiff was struggling to get out of the division, Newport beat Cardiff in an Easter game at Somerton and seemed lose the rest of their matches and Cardiff seemed to win all theirs after that game, Cardiff went up and Newport stayed down , Newport went from their highest point (ever ?) with good players to rock bottom and out of the league in what seemed like no time at all.
