• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Winning 1 -0 , i like to see them do well, but freck me, so poor!

Hate to think whwt the forum would be like if we had to watch the same standard!

Some of us have had to endure football equally as bad , if not worse , on more than one occasion. Applying for re-election to the football league in 1975 , and just escaping relegation out of the league in 2003.

In all my years following the most successful Welsh side in domestic football, Newport supporters are comfortably inside the top ten biggest wankers. Fuck them.

Yep, and we weren't in the least worried about the 'quality' or otherwise of the football. I wouldn't want to go back there but it had its advantages. No stats, no 'possession' toss or other such f**kwittery, just get into them, f**k 'em up and win the game.

And no entitled "fans" 💪

Yep Ive been there as well, along with half frozen or dodgy pasties , tepid , tasteless cups of tea, and piss smelling shoes....and that my friend adhered us to the club.

Aye.
The likes of Scarborough, Carlisle, Grimsby and other such delightful venues away on a winter school night still gives me nightmares.
Watched some absolute dross. like Cullis, Adams, Yorath, Bob (although saw 18 or more goals in 5 matches. Just in the wrong end)
Same with the football.
More so playing in the Welsh Cup back in the 80's.
Although Hereford away was definitely a bit challenging

Hereford and Shrewsbury in the Welsh Cup used to get right on my tits. Probably a false memory but they always seemed to beat us.

If its the 70s period, remember we were down the pan ,and both those clubs were doing well at the time and both if I remember correctly ended up div 2 at some point.

Yeah, and there was a European place for the Welsh cup. We used to think “why are English clubs in the Welsh Cup?”
Then we’d think “we’re in the FA cup and we’d STFU.
