One of their players goes down, dramatically. The ref doesn't stop play. We decided we should stop with Christie holding the ball at the touchline looking for direction as to what he should do. Martin shouts to carry on. We carry on, sympathetically. Their player gets up and carries on.

As well as nobody fearing us, we are far too nice, a soft touch.

Now that you mention throw ins, we’ve now got four set pieces that rarely work.
1. Throw ins have been poor for some time. No movement with players looking to take the ball.
2. Goal kicks with the Naughton & Fisher show
3. Corners, we don’t create chances from them
4 Direct free kicks, the less said the better.

Much of this is down to coaching, or lack of it.

We've been rubbish at throw ins since the Monk era. The goal kick tactic is a total waste of time. Teams aren't fooled by it and haven't been for months, yet we still persist.

Our issues with 3 & 4 tend to fall at the feet of one particular player who takes almost all of them despite being rubbish at set pieces.

I’ve skipped more games this season than ever in nearly 40 years. I hope my enthusiasm returns by August.

Same here, have missed more home games this season (about 6 ) than I have in the last 10 years except covid. Didn't really fancy going yesterday but made the effort , but definitely think my interest is waning and I've been watching for nearly 60 years. If it wasn't for the fact I've got a great seat sitting with friends i probably wouldn't have renewed my season ticket.

Look at the Bournemouth goal against Forest in the week. Why aren't the coaching team coming up with something different like that, there must be millions of videos of past free kick routines they can come up with if they can't think of anything themselves.

Pretty much the only reason I renewed was to keep my seat with the group of mates I’ve been going to games with for decades.

Same here, I’ve missed 8 this season including one (Fulham) when I was getting ready to go and the weather was awful and it was cold and I simply decided that I couldn’t be arsed.

That’s the first time that’s happened since I saw my first game at the Vetch in 1966.

That's the same for most teams now. Just carry on playing, the prima donnas will soon work it out. I'd like to see refs booking some of them.

I don't expect to get back to the PL and at 45 years of age I was always amazed we got there and stayed there for more than a season or 2.

However in the last 2seasons there's been a malaise tactically.
The commentators can see it, most fans can see it, better opposition sides can see it and hammer us even with 70% possession or a 2 -3 goal defecit.

We are being fed a load of waffle from Martin and the board.

Opposition sides don't rate us and I believe some of the players we have signed are just passing through.

Piroe has been a gem and I can see him being sold unfortunately.

We are on our way to League One unfortunately.

I'm sad to say I haven't missed going with the set up at the moment.

I wish I did have "pma" (Linford Christie), but hopes get crushed by harsh outcomes.☹️
