Although it's been a tough period of away games I can't agree with his assessment. What is he basing his thoughts on?

We are in a good position going into the break to push on after the World Cup but surely there’s nobody in our fanbase that agrees with his comment that today was a brilliant performance.

He's always been deluded since he walked in through the door... It's the 85th minute and Cabango, Grimes, Wood are doing pointless triangles at walking football speed, it's the 85th f*cking minute.. what team in the world do this

It wouldn't be the first time I've disagreed with his post-match statements.
I must find out where he buys his glasses. Or perhaps they just need a good clean.

On the 11th of August this year I reminded everyone what I’d said on the 19th December 2021.

Martin is a typical win-a-few-lose-a-few manager. Never going to set the world alight because when he wins a few it will because he’s has to be flexible, which will the reinforce his belief that his methods are right so he’ll double down and we’ll lose a few. Ten-a-penny manager.

He's got a talented squad now IMO, but his team selection and tactics, for the most part, are too conservative. Take yesterday for instance, after the first 5 minutes it was obvious that they were happy to sit back and go for a draw. He should have made a raft of changes at half time and gone balls out to break them down. But he is happy to see us pass the leather of the ball and hope something will change on the pitch without him having to do anything.

He is and will underachieve with us, unless he takes the shackles off.

I said pretty much the same thing yesterday, except that I said after the first 10 minutes, not 5. :D

Totally agree that we were dominant, however it had nothing to do with us and everything to do with Huddersfield's determination to camp and scrap for a point.

I also agree with what everyone has said above, passing football works when it is done with pace. When you put a nice sequence together and break the press only to go backwards again letting them back into shape and repeat ad infinitum then you don't actually accomplish anything but inflate stats that don't actually win you any games.

Pretty much the only positives that I took from the game was Benda again saving our asses with a great save in the 89th minute after Lati and Cabango both decided to leave the ball to each other and Paterson looking livelier than I have seen him all season.

Oko-Flex and Obafemi had made some fantastic runs but just weren't being picked out. Paterson needs to be playing in the middle rather than effectively as a left winger. We need to be playing with pace both with personnel and with the ball if RM wants Martinball to work.
