• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The results are in and it shows a massive two fingers up to Johnson and the Conservatives. A seat they have held for over 200 years and with a current majority of nearly 23,000, has just been taken by the Lib Dems. Labour came a very distant third.

Out of interest why was the total vote so down compared to 2019?

Lower turnout. Always is at a by election compared to a general election

It demonstrates clearly to me that with the undemocratic first past the post system, the only way to get rid of the Tories is for opposition parties to work together.
Labour's spokesman Reynolds on the news this morning trotted out the old line about fighting to win every seat, no deals behind closed doors, blah blah blah. But the electorate are already ahead of you Mr Reynolds, there was clearly huge tactical voting by Labour voters in this contest.
Time to acknowledge reality. Get back into power then change this deeply flawed system into one of proportional representation so that the country is no longer afflicted with extreme governments of whatever colour.
Maybe Labour doesn't want to be accused of backroom dealing. So be honest, come right out and say we are cooperating with other left of centre parties and we ask Labour voters to put their vote behind whichever candidate has the best chance of defeated the Tories. If they did that, Starmer would be swept into No. 10.

I’d love to see Bodger gone as much as the next sane, reasonably balanced, decent person and there’s no doubt that this harms him, but if this nation is to repair itself what is far more important than the criminal clown going is that the Gove, Rees-Smugg, Patel and the party as a whole must go.

All this result does is speed up the process of replacing Bozo from within with an oily snake like the billionaire banker Rishi Sunak.

But yay! Happy fish! Taking back control! Brexit! Whoop!

Better for the opposition if Boris hangs on but I don't see that , sunak will be PM to the delight of the nuts who claim Goldman Sachs are the illuminati

That will a case of two steps forward and two steps back.

Sunak is a liar and crook. He’ll be PM soon.

Exactly, exactly, exactly. I refer you to my post earlier in this thread. Let's work together and get rid of the whole stinking pile of corrupt and incompetent Tory scum. Deal them a blow they'll never recover from.

Yeah but Labour, look over there, boosters, world beating...

Boris your f****d son, time to move on👋

🤔 Maybe an apostrophe should be edited in as what’s been written means something else entirely. 😮
