If it starts to get the message across that Social Media is now part of normal life, and you can't get away with saying anything you want, thinking you are being anonymous, and there will be repercussions.

I’m not on Twitter and haven’t seen what he tweeted, but I can imagine the type of thing he’s said. Good to see the police taking prompt action and the Club’s statement - racist scum not welcome at the club.

I’ve no idea if this is the first time this guys been in bother, I if it is then I think it’s a pretty stiff sentence. He’s had a jail sentence imposed on him which has been suspended for 18 months, no booze for 120 days, 25 days of rehabilitation, and 160 hours of unpaid work, plus a 3 year football banning order.
If he breaches any of the conditions of his sentence he’s off to the slammer.
And for good measure his employer sacked him.


I think this sends a strong message to the bigots and racists.
