It's all relative isn't it?
Whilst I hear myself say they have all the money and luxurious etc etc we must remember they are human beings.
Not sure what he has to strop about but we all have days where we get frustrated and fraught.

It doesn't matter how much money you have in the bank.
If the head or your nerve goes, it goes.
Good management he needs.

100% Dicky. I haven’t joined in the debate/witch-hunt on this one. We’d be best advised to let this play out in private. It’ll be interesting to see if Martin has the tools to manage this one out appropriately.

The more I hear of players “not being in the right place” or similar, I’m starting to wonder if it’s a player not wanting to follow the process and letting Martin know.

I have not heard of this from anywhere, just my ponderings.

What does he mean he’s not in the right place?
I’m sick of hearing this utter crap.
All the problems in the world and this bloke isn’t in the right place to kick a ball around and pass it to his teammates. #Twat

They sign that contract to play for us and get paid. In the same way they can walk at the end of their contracts and get mega sign on fees they should simply accept the contract. Us mortals sometimes slog for what we get and we get more crap than they will ever know in our workplace so don't insult us with heads not in the right place.

My first instinct is to agree with all of the above but I sincerely hope that he hasn’t got real mental health issues.

That’s a fair point but he seemed to be ok before the window closed.

99.9 per cent sure i saw him chatting to someone in Newton Road Mumbles yesterday about 12ish. Seemed absolutely fine to me then , though we all know that mental health problems aren't always visible.

This is what Hasenhuttl said about him, less than 2 years ago at Southampton ...

"The problem with Michael was always he would play one good game and then fall back a little bit and was not professional enough to force or keep his position in the team or in the squad."

Its a footballer having a tantrum because he didn't get the move he wanted. Plenty have strops but choose to play on to show their worth and get the move they wanted. We knew he had issues with personality and behaviour when we signed him.

It's down to him now. Pato has not been the same player since his strop. I'd prepare for him not playing anytime soon. Hope Ollie continues to play well and we don't miss his absence so Piroe can remain uptop.

We should have got shot of him and Paterson. Their play totally matches their antics. Flaky. One good game in 5 maybe. It's just not enough. If they ever have another decent patch then sell as soon as possible.

My gut feeling on deadline day was it would be best to shift Obafemi on and reuse a bit of the money to strengthen the squad in other areas, unplayable on his day but I think Martin will struggle to get him back involved now. He's got form for this.

I said on deadline day we should take accepted Burnley’s final offer. This was always going to happen.

Much rather Joel upfront with Oli in the 10 role anyway.

Wouldn't bother me if Obafemi never played for us again, that goes for Patterson as well.

Get rid in January, he came with a bad attitude remember, he was too fat and lazy for pre- season this time last year.
It's all about the dressing room for me.

Fuk him off 👍

Was worth the risk knowing his chequered past. Some work (Dyer), some don't (Mcleod).

He's on the precipice and it could go either way.

Years ago the senior player/captain would have sorted this out, unfortunately we have a young squad. I imagine by the time the manager/captain go through the HR process to arrange a sit-down consultation we will have to pay him damages for upsetting his feelings by asking him to fulfil the contract he was happy to sign.

Yep.

I’m never entirely sure why our social media team play up to him so much either. The guy is unbelievably immature for his age.
