• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Korey Smith says that the performance against Cardiff City was the best that the Swans have out in for a while but concedes – as he has to – that the only stat that mattered at the end of the day was that they scored one goal and we scored none.

It's baffling why people think that was a great performance? Soft goal conceded so early, totally inept for the rest of the first half and then a bit more urgency in the last 20 minutes against a solid defence. We were unlucky not to score with the one off the post but I think it's a stretch to call it our best performance.

I agree.

It's all relative.

Mostly shit is better than total shit I suppose.

I can't be arsed to read any player or manager 'positive' drivel after that, but he hasn't claimed it was a good performance I hope.

We've been lucky for weeks and shite with it yesterday was another example of that

If you piece together the first half vs Bristol and the 2nd half vs Cardiff you get something like 40 shots 20 corners and zero goals.

In which of the last six matches did we play better? I do agree with you but I think that we have been mediocre for a while now. There's just no urgency in the mid-field play that gives the forwards any opportunities.

Glyn has a point. Title says our best performance. Our best performance may still be terrible, just not as terrible as usual.

We've had a hand full of games this season were we've really played well the rest have been a grind and some luck. I think to say the Cardiff game was our best performance for a while is being disingenuous and deflective of Cooper... We are only as good as our last game.
