Tymon is great going forward, but we’re left very exposed when an attack breaks down. A couple of Leeds goals were down to this. Surely this problem needs addressing by LW.
The Cardiff goal came down that side as well. MPH doesn't give him any assistance to be fair.Tymon is great going forward, but we’re left very exposed when an attack breaks down. A couple of Leeds goals were down to this. Surely this problem needs addressing by LW.
Stop itLeft hand side ffs.
Thanks for thatI can’t hear or read ‘left hand side’, without singing Pass the Dutchie, in my head.
Could be an option with Key on the other side as well, with Christie or Naughton at RB. Wouldn't want both Key and Tymon playing there at the same time but given that Ronald's our only half decent winger at the moment I wouldn't mind trying one of the fullbacks there instead. Abdulai and MPH haven't been good enough there so far and looks like Bianchini is going to be more of a centre forward now, although still think it's worth trying him out wide if we're not going to be playing him up front from the start. It's (maybe) not a crazy idea to play Tymon at left-wing for now and play Pedersen at left-back, at least until Eom is back or we have other ideas for the left-hand side. Tymon provides more of an attacking outlet than MPH does.
Probably the latter. You can’t have both full backs bombing on. All it takes is a little shuffle to the side of the attacking wing back by both centre backs and the other wing back.Given that we were playing with a flat back 2 against Leeds, I assume it’s what Luke wants him to do. It’s a thing these days to push right ip up one-on-one in the press. Works ok if the team is well drilled, leaves you wide open if not. We don’t do it well, so I don’t know if that’s what we’re trying to do or we just have no positional awareness. Fk knows.
