Pasty singular. Pasties plural.

The best bakery around is Tan y Groes, their pasties are a thing of beauty but for superb quality try their crusty rolls, simply the best bread around.
PS the little round pies are excellent as well.
As for a custard slice i agree theres not much in it mind. But i have to say Baglan Bakery takes the homour. Called into la Creme last week picked up a custard slice which was disapointing and my Mrs reckons the her lemon merangue was just ok, wont be rushing back at thsose prices.Niigata Jack said:KrunchyKarrot said:The best bakery around is Tan y Groes, their pasties are a thing of beauty but for superb quality try their crusty rolls, simply the best bread around.

Their custard slices are lovely to, but I think Jenkins ones are better.

How can a tea become abysmal , what went wrong?jack123 said:Yeah are the dogs doodahs, saved me last night, after the missis making an abysmal tea! There was only one left from earlier in day, but f**k was I thankful for it.
Edit. Due to spelling missis wrong, I spelt it millsis,
Having a great pastie as a back up is always a good option. I am searching for the right one. I will try a Mavis Davis one next week.
Ebo said:An old workmate of mine was a fitter down at Peters Pies a good few years ago. He always told anyone that would listen "never eat pasties or pies from there". When asked why, he said that he saw a middle aged woman working on a big vat of corned beef mixture and she sneezed which made her false teeth shoot out into the vat. She stopped the machine, fished them out and licked the teeth clean of corned beef mixture before popping them back in. He said that was the least we had to worry about as there were quite a few disgruntled workers putting some quite disgusting things into the vats.
