• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Been released by FC Charlotte… he didn’t really play for them.

Swans fans all over Twitter / X desperate for him to come back.

No, please, no.

We need much better.

He's better than our current no 10 (Mr DoesNotExist)

but hell no, he's too old, too much of a prima donna and we need to look for fresh talent.

Most of the fans that adore him only do so because of his swim away antics. Whilst it was hilariously funny, it was levels beyond what he delivered in the white shirt.

He’s a 1 good game in 5 type of player. That one game he could have a blinder, but the other four he’s very average to the point that he’s missing. So it’s a fat NO from me!

33 next month, I’d stay well away considering the lack of game time he has had as well, go as we are until January.

And the worrying thing is, last season he delivered more than everyone else who played in midfield combined.

Eight goals and six assists in 48 total appearances. People may not like him because of his alleged antics (personally I suspect Martin also bears a chunk of responsibility for that) but the figures certainly don't suggest a player all that inconsistent.

I wouldn't want him back because of his age and the baggage, but there's no doubt whatsoever that he's a player that we simply haven't replaced adequately. Can't fault Cullen and Cooper's effort, but neither of them have the quality we need in that role.

His time has been and gone, soon to be 33 so a no from me.
Luckily we will have a little bit of money in the transfer window, creativity the main target out wide and centrally and early 20s being the upper age limit.

Ah if the 8&6 were in different games what did he do in the other 34 😁

Stats don't always show a true picture.

Fully agree with your second paragraph.

👍

I've been watching a lot of Metz this season in France League 2 because my French mate here in Spain is a lifelong supporter of his home town club. The standard of that league is surprisingly high, and Metz have an outstanding midfielder in the Ferre Bodde mould called Gauthier Hein who I'd like us to go in for. He's 28, which is the only downside, but he's therefore affordable at around £2 million. Whether Metz would part with him is another matter.
