• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Will never forgive him for the way he sent the team out to play at the start of the 17-18 season. Trying to scrape a point against teams like Brighton, Watford and Newcastle, none of whom were up to much at the time.

Another three or four points in that period would probably have kept us up.

He wouldn’t play Tammy Abraham, to let him bed in.

I don't think Clement was anywhere near as bad as some of the coaches we had post-Laudrup. Bradley and Carvalhal were far worse. I think he was better than Monk and Guidolin as well.

When he first came he was astute enough to realise that our best two players were Siggy and Llorente, something that seemed to escape Bradley and Guidolin. He also reinstated Leon, who'd previously been axed. He built a very effective game plan around the two star men and in the end we stayed up with relative ease.

The problem he had is he came at a time where the new owners were bedding in and decided to experiment with the concept of flogging our best players and replacing them with crap. His game plan fell apart that summer. He didn't handle it very well, and in the end deserved the sack, but I still think he was shafted really. Felt a bit sorry for him.

Felt more sorry for Guidolin who knew his football. We’d just beaten Liverpool but the clueless owners had already decided to employ Bobbly Bradley.

Those Godforsaken owners treated everyone with utter contempt, from the fans and managers, to the then Trust, who were shafted the most.

That isn’t lost on me either. I think the word that best describes what the future Trust board was and still is, is turncoats.

Sometimes I wonder if there is ever a possibility that the Trust could be reformed and actually made fit for purpose and actually work well with the new ownership who do indeed seem to be a different prospect to the old owners
