• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

If you look closely he's rocking his studded spiked collar in that pic 🤘🤘

We lost our old girl just before Christmas at 18years and 8 months.

Here's the new kid in town.

I’ve no idea what we’ll do when Arch goes. I can’t imagine the house without a dog though.

Oscar in typical tickle my belly mode!20210714_185052.jpg

Are they King Charles Spaniels? We'll be getting a dog at some point and I love the look of them, but the other half isn't as keen and is leaning towards having a miniature Schnauzer.

What are they like temperament wise and how's the shedding?

Without a pet of my own to post, here's my in-laws' Schnauzer, Henry. Just over a year old and one of the most mischievous dogs I've ever met! He's a cracker though.

Plus a bonus of my sister-in-law's Golden Retriever, Barnaby who is almost 2 years old:

This is our lovely cat, Sukey. She makes me smile every single day of my life, even when I don't see her.

She sleeps in some extraordinary positions

Mines a torty too and sleeps upside down. They are the most curious breed though as they want to see behind every door and cupboard 🤣

Keeping out of the sun

I absolutely agree about tortoiseshell cats being the most curious. I've had plenty of cats over the years and the toitoiseshell one we've got now, Sukey, featured somewhere above, is by far the nuttiest and most hilarious I've had and is 100% entertainment value. She's 5 now but we've had her from a kitten but she's still got a lot of kitten mentality.

Piggy 🐷

Just seen this thread! I love cats as I would never be able to devote the care and attention a dog deserves.
I'd love a boxer, German shepherd or sheepdog but I know I'd never have the lifestyle or time to look after it.
Never, ever again will I mock goldfish.
I have met people as I get older who are housebound and they live and breathe to feed and watch their underwater pets.

Yeah they're Cavalier King Charles.
Temperament wise they're very calm, wonderful with children & very loving. They like company, our 2 are inseparable & just want to be wherever we are.
They definitely shed though so if that's an issue for you then I'd stay clear.
