Whilst a massive improvement on the bare surface by December and earlier, did anyone else think that this pitch seems to be cutting up already with grass coming off the base easily. One horrible bobble in our area in second half.
Good job only half a season left.

Seems to be a lot of clubs up and down the country struggling to maintain a decent playing surface. Ours hasn't had a lot of time to bed in so it's probably about as good as it's going to get unless there's a proper close season for it to settle.

I was going to post something similar regarding the pitch. What struck me was that it appeared very slow and sticky, despite being wet I imagine. It's clearly a massive improvement and it looks fine from a distance but it's not quite right yet. Lots of players were slipping. I think the grass is quite long - maybe it's being left deliberately long at the moment while it beds in properly. There were a couple of nasty bobbles as well. Reminds me of how the Millennium Stadium pitch used to be (for football). On the plus side, we seem capable of playing on any kind of surface at the moment.

It was never going to perfect given the time of year and the speed to relay it. The key now is to make sure it lasts for the season and then start again in the summer.

As MrP said at the end of his, we seem capable of playing on any surface! Happy Days!

I was thinking exactly the same, it looked fragile. The ground staff know what they're doing and will be all over it no doubt. Maybe it's missing its fans...

The players need to find the right length of studs to stop slipping while also not cutting up the pitch :)

You’re right as both Chelsea’s and Brentford’s pitches heavy after rain and snow.
The other observation that they’ve left the grass longer is true as well.
Let’s hope for an early spring and drier weather and then redo before our return to the Prem. Could be worse we could be a massive club looking over our shoulder towards league one....
