We’re halfway through the season and we’ve hit 43 points.

Keep up the same points per game ratio and we get 86 points. On average over the last few seasons that would claim 2nd spot.

I’m of the belief that this team is only getting better and with MGW coming back and hopefully another striker then we can have an even better 2nd half of the season.

Obviously, we need to be lucky with injuries etc... our little defence crisis at the moment seems to have come at the right time... all our defence should be back and ready for our next league game against Barnsley.

Onwards and upwards.

Mind you, our squad seems strong and flexible.

I feared for the worst after first losing Bennett for yesterday’s game and then losing Latibeaudiere before kick off I felt we had no chance... but once again our squad shows how well drilled we are... people know the system and seem to be able to slot in.

Cabango is a very, very good player and a natural leader. After Bennett went off v Reading it should have been obvious to any doubter that our 44 is the real deal.
Latibeaudiere's injury did worry me especially as Naughton wasn't on the bench but Bidwell with Manning ahead of him did an exceptional job at short notice and Cabango dropped deeper to marshall the defence.
Not every game will be that good but Deeney and Grey would have expected to have a field day against a reshuffled last minute defence.

his passing has drastically improved in last 5/6 games too

Honestly, I don't think the season will finish completely, it may go down to a PPG basis.

We just have to keep ticking over and put wins in the bag.

We are lucky and have the advantage in that we haven't had any curtailments yet, so a PPG scenario would suit us.

This season will finish, very little doubt in my mind over that one.

Just keep ticking the games off one at a time. Keep the momentum going and we could be stuffing Man Utd yet again next season.

Nonsense comments. The season will finish even if we have to wait till june/July.

Rotherham are 3 games behind us already, with no end to COVID cancellations in sight.

Accrington are 6 behind some teams in L1, but I see no reason why they can't extend.

The Championship always gets the weekend off on International break, but if things get tight towards the Euros, I'm unsure what their position will be regarding extending it.

So what happens around the Euros? When we lose players, and others will also.

Can't see the worry tbh. With the vaccine kicking in come end of February, even if the season is extended by a few weeks....itll finish.

Can't see it, it's right in front of you mun!

The game was shut down for less last March. The top two leagues are going to have a headache in June, considering their schedule is already tight to finish, without any more cancelled games.

Once the Oxford/AZ vaccine becomes in more supply elite sports stars will get it, only £3 a dose and can see other private firms doing so too to get business/the economy running again
