Police officers 'also abused' Rotherham victims

There are no words to describe the horror.

Biggest scandal of the 21st century.

They aren't brown though - so please look away!

I think this story is NOT going to be ignored, because "IF TRUE"???? It'll be something the likes of which the U.K will never ever have encountered before. A story way too controversial to ever go away????

In fact, "IF TRUE"? It'll be something that will become worldwide news and attract worldwide attention.

You may note my slightly measured (doubting)) viewpoint.

That is justifiable, because the BBC (BBC Wales in particular) has a PROVEN tendency to tell lies, exaggerate, resort to "make believe" and veer towards an anti-police/anti common sense/anti justice agenda.

Hence why the BBC was previously prepared to crawl in the gutter to mislead, to deny proven facts/evidence, to ignore crown court transcripts and to utilise/exploit proven LYING witnesses to present an obscene innocence fraud campaign on behalf of a proven/guilty child and family killer.

And then there was the despicable inclusion of so called (LOL) 'expert' contributors both academic and scientific (never heard of again) who resorted to a load of absolute LIES and C....R.....A.....and P.

Police officers are your ordinary man or woman in the street except they have certain powers and a uniform for some. You only have to look at reports from the news of cops being done for all the offences that everyone else gets convicted of, the evidence for these offences will be very hard to obtain or to use in court. The alleged victims are by their very nature damaged by their lack of normal upbringing and exposure to drugs and sex work throughout their childhood.

If you are accused of committing these offences how do you disprove them if you are innocent and if you are the victim what evidence can you provide that would satisfy the CPS and courts? I would imagine the normal time, day, date and place evidence would be sketchy at best and the ability to defend yourself because of that would be compromised.

The original convictions were supported by police intelligence and social services records i doubt that this will be found foe allegations against the police.

As much as everyone concerned will want justice and because of the background to the case they will try very hard i cannot see this going anywhere.

My wife and I were interviewed about something by an esteemed physiologist (I won’t name him) last year a guy that goes into prisons and speaks to the worst offenders in the UK,he was saying about rape cases where you have consensual sex with a woman and the following day she accuses the man of rape, they do all the tests, semen etc.,she says rape he says not.
She hasn’t got a mark on her but it’s 100% proved that the man ejaculated inside her.
Who do you instantly believe is telling the truth?

I would believe the man on the basis of innocent until proved guilty. Am I being naive about that? I hope that the police would work harder than just going by 'he said, she said'.

If they both agree that they had sex, then finding semen proves absolutely nothing either way.

I thought that Darran's was an interesting question so of course I asked AI. It said that "In England and Wales, the conviction rate for rape cases is significantly lower than for other crimes. While the overall conviction rate for all crimes in England and Wales is around 82.5%, the conviction rate for rape cases is considerably lower. For adult rape cases, the conviction rate in 2023/24 was 53.4%, according to the House of Lords Library. This means that for every 100 cases of rape prosecuted, only about 53 result in a conviction. The conviction rate for rape cases has also decreased slightly in recent years."
