• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

If there's a list of people who were wrong about Steve Cooper, add me to it. Turns out he does know what he's doing...

Being 2nd and 4 points ahead of 3rd will always make you promotion contenders in anyone's book. We've found the sort of consistency you need to get out of this division and although we were doing quite well at the time, I think the Derby performance was a bit of a wake up call as it showed what can happen if you become complacent playing a team in the relegation places. Since then we have been thorough and more streetwise throughout the entire team even when changes have been forced upon us and barring injuries or more recalls, I can see no reason why we shouldn't continue to be consistent and maintain our place among the leading group as this is our new mindset and every player seems to be on board with it. In the last couple of months, we have beaten several teams who must have wondered how they lost and everyone will now know that it won't be enough to outplay us because they can still lose. The rest of this season is going to be very interesting.

Am I in a minority in hoping we'll get back in the ground before May ?

Nope.

Once they've vaccinated the 10% of people who make up approx 90% of Covid fatalities there's no reason why a lot of restrictions can't be lifted or eased. We won't be seeing a full house any time soon, but say 4,000 fans in an outdoors bowl designed for five times that many ought to be doable.

Yep, spot on, never been happier to be wrong. Love the club and always want us to be doing well.

If they do it, they need to do it better than they did when it happened in England. They seemed to squeeze them into tiny parts of the ground particularly in Chelsea and Liverpool where they only opened the Kop. Also seemed to be squeezed in like sardines at Bentford. They should be dotted around the place like they were for Northern Ireland's playoffs. A bit of gumption sadly lacking innit.

I think we'll have a break before long and season will be extended, maybe then we will return but at a reduced capacity.
Infection rates amongst football clubs aren't the best of late.
