Wednesday score - 90th minute !

Assisted by a scum reject (after a scum reject scored the first)! Lovely jubbly!

The player who scored was so close to joining them too, they just couldn’t get the deal over the line

Here's hoping Cardiff's rivals do us a favour against Brentford.

Jason Tindall sacked, shame he was doing us a favour

Championship club Bournemouth have sacked manager Jason Tindall after just six months in charge.

The decision was taken after Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday, with the team sixth in the table.

Former Cherries player and assistant boss Tindall was appointed in August following the departure of Eddie Howe.

"We feel a change is needed now to give the club the best possible chance of achieving the goals clearly set out last summer," said a club statement.

Bournemouth, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have lost four successive Championship matches and won just once in their past eight league games.

"Recent performances and results have fallen well below the board's expectations," the club said.

Tindall, 43, was appointed on a three-year contract and has a 22-year association with the Cherries, having also previously played 199 games.

His departure is the second in as many weeks from the coaching staff after first-team coach Graeme Jones joined Newcastle United.

Former Middlesbrough boss Jonathan Woodgate was appointed as Jones' replacement on Monday on a deal until the end of the season and was in the dugout for the match against Wednesday.

Woodgate struggled at Middlesbrough. Sacked after less than one season. I am surprised they appointed him.

It's a bit silly though, isn't it? They're still in the playoffs, despite having an admittedly shite run. If you look at the form table, there aren't any outside of the top 4 that have gone unbeaten in 5.

Woodgate didn't pull up any trees at Boro. Unless he has Bournemouth flirting with the auto spots in 5-10 games time, he'll have the same fate. They'll be hoping for a new manager 'bounce' in the next few games.

Isn’t Woodgate just the new assistant?

I think their boards view is with the squad they have got they should be a lot further towards promotion than they are. I’ve seen a lot of their fans criticising Tindall for no tactics and the players showing no enthusiasm

Frank Lampard to Bournemouth probably.

Maybe Eddie Howe could do a job there? He had a good record as a manager somewhere, didn’t he?

Let's hope they don't go in for Cooper.

Without wanting to sound all 'Cardiffian', would Cooper want to move there right now? Granted, they've just come down from the PL and have a decent squad, but I don't see much at the moment to pull him away from us. He has a decent project here at the moment that seems to be working and at the moment we look more likely to go up than them. Obviously £££ may change things though.

Yeah good point, he was linked previously to Derby and Bristol and obviously nothing came of that, I suspect they'll go for a 'name' manager.

£ side it made me think he's probably on a very small wage as he hasn't had a new contract yet, deserves a new deal.
