• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Im getting 86/87 season vibes right now. After beating runaway leader Northampton away in Feb, sitting comfortably 2nd in the league, we lost 12 out of 17 and finished mid table. We seem to have checked out this season right after the Narch game.
There was other stuff happening at that time. We got docked points for fielding an ineligble player( which we won back on appeal) and injuries got so bad Yorath actually had to play himself away at Aldershot (even though he hadnt played a game in years) For what its worth, they stuck with Yorath and he got us up the next season. I cant imagine Cooper staying if we miss the playoffs, although if that happens Im not sure he would want to stay around here anyway.
Actually we have won 5 games since Norwich. That surprised me. We have lost 4.

Watford with another 3-0. Their goal difference is what concerns me. Hopefully doesn't come down to it

In general I think that GD doesn’t lie. I always look at that as an indicator of ‘where we are’. There’s about 4 or 5 teams with a much higher GD than us, unfortunately.
