• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

They haven’t taken their place in the league they’ve taken over the club. It’s the same club with a new name. Same coach, same players. The Uni pulled all funding for the football club so they had to find new backers or fold.

But different name, different badge and different hierarchy?

Absolutely love what they’re doing up Pure.
It’s the centre of the universe for kids football in Swansea and Kurtis and the coaches are superb.
Good luck chaps

For kids in Neath and Port Talbot as well.

Yes def!, and Llanelli way. I should have said that sorry.
At least half of my boy’s academy team are from out of the city.
Great little community up there and it’s all levels.

No need to apologise. Was just pointing out that it serves a massive area. My grandson has played up there for the past two years, it’s a great facility.

It's clever of them to swoop in and obviously great for the city etc, but if they want a senior team, they should really have started from the bottom.

Exactly. The argument makes no sense. Smacks of a bit of jealousy.

I don't know which bit you don't think makes sense? A one team has disappeared and a different one has taken its place but has been allowed to keep its league position?

I have no link to any of these teams or teams in the division below (1 of which should really have taken the place) so I don't have anything to be jealous of.

But I do despise everything that MK Dons stand for and there's obvious parallels here.
