• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Hamer, 24, could be allowed to leave Swansea City and has been discussed as a potential option.

He's 34 but looking for short term cover

Not the keeper I was expecting to lose, but would make sense.

I’d rather lose Hamer than Benda tbh, especially if we get at least 250K for him to cover most of the Fisher deal would make sense, and I’m sure Hamer is on a decent wack considering Udders got rid to get him off their wage bill

Hamer can go. He's just a Freddie Woodman knock off.

The Forest game was it for me. He's beyond any hope.

Benda has weaknesses but I'd rather keep him until someone actually wants to take him off our hands seeing as he's on a longer contract than the former.

Nothing personal against Hamer but he’s rubbish. He only came here to be put out to pasture and he must be counting his lucky stars the Martin’s ego got the better of him where Benda is concerned.

Benda should have never been thrown under the bus and we’d be in better shape now if we’d brought him on better. I’m happy to reserve judgement on Martin but his mistakes are starting to stack up.

ENough about his good points though !! ;)

Am I the only one who thinks Benda is an excellent keeper? I really rate him.

The problem is, we’re not asking him to just be a keeper… he needs to be a sweeper too.

I’d like to think we can teach him to do that better.

Yep. Have not understood playing Hamer at all. Yes Benda was making mistakes, but that's part of the learning process for a still young (by keeper standards) player.

The shine is definitely off Martin at the moment. Trying to instil a more pleasing to watch system gets him credit after the eye-bleeding style of football played for the last 2 seasons, but some of his personnel decisions are starting to look very odd indeed.
