• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Well yes but in the eyes of people like JackSomething and others she never did anything wrong anyway but you also knew that too.

In classic Darran fashion, I'll ask you to point out where I've claimed 'she never did anything wrong anyway'.

Don’t bother you can’t have an opinion on here anymore if it goes against the narrative of the sandal wearers.

This is one of the more annoying things about the state of discourse in the world today. The rise in someone posting/saying something, then when it's pointed out by a queue of people that what they've said is incorrect, they respond with some variation of 'you can't have an opinion anymore'. Instead of just doing what normal people do and accept they got something wrong.

It's all very upper middle class with renting out one's family home because the taxpayer is providing even better free bed and board at no expense (No.11 and the not too shabby Dorneywood).

Supposed to be men and women of the people, many of whom can only dream of owning a home one day.

I'm sure RR has declared the rental income on her HMRC self-assesment...

Labour Party these days are closer to the Tories than they are actually being the Labour Party.

She should resign.
It's the stupidity that I can't get. Both her and Rayner knew the press would be on them and still they fûcked up. Chronic stupidity.

It's almost as irritating as the Labour party sucking up to the same media outlets who despise them and will never give them a fair hearing

Drakeford, Morgan and Gethin make my skin crawl, the sooner May gets here the better.

The world of politics is a very depressing place at the moment, where are the next generation leaders?
They are all coming out of the same cesspit, not a decent politician among this new lot, they're all career politicians in it for themselves, they're all built to perform under the self interest policy

I’m not keen on Reeves, but if I have read the articles in the press correctly then it looks like she’s in the clear on this and that the letting agent may well be responsible for the failure to secure the licence.

The letting agent has issued a public apology for their oversight in failing to apply for the licence after they had previously said they would apply for it. The agent has stated the failure is due to a member of the team leaving. An email exchange confirming this account has also been published.

When all this was going on, I’m pretty sure Reeves attention would have been focussed on her day job - well that’s where it should have been. She’s trusted a professional services company to rent her property out for what I’d imagine is a fair chunk of the rent every month and I think she’s got a reasonable explanation / excuse in the grand scheme of things. Sometimes you have to trust people to do what they say they’re going to do.

IMHO the initial press article which highlighted the lack of a licence is legitimate and in the public interest, but now we’ve had the reasoning it’s time to move on.

Dear God.

The markets would go haywire. And borrowing would increase, and mortgages, cuts would be needed etc etc etc.

She didn't check a piece of paper had been filed that she was paying someone else to sort out. And you think she should lose her job? And cause chaos for everyone in the country?

Get a bloody grip.
So when would it be OK for her to resign then? as she HAS broken the law?

I wasn’t saying you were right wing. I said that the story was being driven by right wing media. They author the basic headlines.

The agency she used have now issued a formal apology.
It's all over BBC, would you class them as Right Wing Media?
