• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

My savings are all in one bog standard savings account because I’m a shithouse and I like to know where my money is at all times. I’m definitely not making the most of it.
It’s definitely worth you investing half an hour of your time and speaking with your bank/BS. There is every chance that they will be able to set you up with a cash ISA or fixed term bond which has a guaranteed rate of return with zero risk of capital loss. Your money will remain in one place (in terms of establishment), you will get visibility of it through your phone app and will avoid paying tax on interest earned. This short phone call might be worth hundreds of pounds a year in increased interest.

Our Rach is about to cross the line of personal tax increases which Labour clearly stated they wouldn't cross.

They need further funds to support the misuse this and the previous government have wasted on various unfinished and binned pie in the sky projects

Over £300M lost on cancelled road infrastructure upgrades. Project for a Stonehenge tunnel bypass costing £200M in consultation fees alone now binned.
Did Labour start those consultations?

Reeves is also having to deal with the result of the Tories dropping NI twice which was an attempt at an election bribe but was something that the country simply couldn’t afford.

Yeah but you’re not allowed to mention the previous fourteen years cos this government has now had the reigns for fourteen months so everything is their fault.

£500m in total then. Small beans really in fiscal terms.

We can also mention the absolute shit show since they've been in power as well.

Absolutely if that’s your view of it. I’m not here to tell people what to think.
The budget at the end of this month is going to be interesting. I know one thing, I'm pleased I'm not Rachel Reeves.

Yes indeed.. I just gave one example

My point being.. the forthcoming budget will hit even more people personally

I wouldn't even mind if all governments invested more in mental health which is hugely under funded.
