Rachel Reeves

Yes indeed.. I just gave one example

My point being.. the forthcoming budget will hit even more people personally

I wouldn't even mind if all governments invested more in mental health which is hugely under funded.
Completely agree on the mental health point. And yes, November’s budget will be necessarily painful. My hope is that the pain is targeted most at those who are better able to bear the brunt of it instead of punching down which this government has been too ready to do up to now.

The budget at the end of this month is going to be interesting. I know one thing, I'm pleased I'm not Rachel Reeves.
There's a rumour of income tax going up 2p across all brackets.

With a huge majority, Labour back benchers seem ready to rebel at anything unpopular. They don't seem to want to contemplate the bigger picture of how to balance the budget and avoid a Truss/Kwarteng disaster if the market loses confidence in the treasury's competence.

That 2p income tax rise will apparently be coupled with a 2p NI cut.

The biggest kick in the bollocks is the manifesto pledge being broken when it comes to not raising taxes. It's a pretty big promise to break.

There are a multitude of financial service company’s who can provide you with a range of investment options. The first hurdle is to decide which one to use - let’s say you choose Hargreaves Lansdown. H&L will then provide you with the ability to invest across either ready made funds which they manage themselves, or funds of your own choice. Either way you make the decisions and have full visibility of historical performance of that fund. You also see which sectors the fund is involved in and the risk associated with it (H&L classify risk in words such as cautious, balanced, moderately adventurous or adventurous). Even some of their cautious category ready made funds are delivering >8% growth per year.

**this is not financial advice and the value of your investment can go up as well as down**
My pension fund is with True potential, but I'm looking for a better alternative, it's a minefield with who to trust and who to stay away from, my lad seems to do quite well with his investments, I'll have to sit down with him and go through it, he's living near his work at moment, but moving back before christmas, so look into it then, had enough of stress these last few weeks, so I'll relax a little for now :ROFLMAO:

Their spending is off the scale, Starmer is throwing our money around like confetti and expecting the man and woman in the street to pay for it all, while still blaming the "Tories"

They need to focus on these billionaires especially those mega billionaires, but they won't be cause they are in control of it all and Starmer is their lap dog carrying out their orders.

That's my opinion for what it's worth.

Talk to him, Max. It’s never too late.

The money we waste on welfare needs to be reviewed. There are too many people in this country taking advantage of it which makes it hard for those who need and deserve help.

What would you cut spending on?

This type of thing is what iterates people like myself. I have zero trust in any party and hence my reluctance to get off my arse and vote.

May will be different though, I see something in Plaid.
I disagree on Plaid myself, this nation of sanctuary should be a non starter with the desperate need of more money needed for the services in Wales.
I think we'll see a continuation of Labour's policies albeit with a few tweaks.

Again in my opinion before the Lions on here mount their attack 😂
