They’re after him.
It was only a matter of time.

It’s nonsense, a directors loan isn’t tax free, in fact it’s a very expensive way to get money out of your business if it’s not paid back in time. Everyone is an expert these days but in fact know little about self employment or running a business. Rishi Sunak has a lot to answer for and the tide is turning.

He needs to pay his taxes, and stop falling down when a defender gets within 18 inches.

Even after what Itchy posted above (I have no idea about the issue so will take him at his word)? He also seemed to have no trouble staying on his feet tonight!

If I was a high earner like Rashford, I’d go out of my way to pay tax. Like the tweeter in the OP, I’m no hypocrite.

The issue isn't generally that people avoid taxes it is the fact that loopholes exist that allow them to do just that.

I would happily avoid paying taxes if my employer stopped taking them off at source... 😂

And I'm sure many feel the same. However, avoiding paying taxes en masse is what led to Greece's financial woes and we can't go around moaning that services are being cut if there is not enough in the pot because people don't pay tax.

What I do believe is that the whole tax system needs to be simplified and yes that certain loopholes are closed, but ultimately it's our duty to pay our taxes if we want decent hospitals, schools , roads etc

Which is almost certainly the case with every other poster on this thread. Easy to say you wouldn't take advantage of loopholes when you earn 'normal' money, but would everyone resist temptation if they were earning that kind of money? Every scrap of evidence in human history suggests the majority wouldn't resist.

It's a pretty weak attempt by the wankers of the world to start attacking him for daring to try and change things for the better in this country, but it's only the first salvo.

A director's loan is a loan from business funds in to personal funds. If it isn't paid back it attracts corporation tax at 32.5%. Marcus Rashford is not exempt from that.

He’ll find a way.

That Rod Bishop blocked me on twitter, doesn't like anyone who disagrees with him. He's a bit of a twit in my opinion.
