Anyone know if you can just rock up to the Llansamlet or Penlan centre's to dump stuff off?

They say with llansamlet you have to book a slot. Probably have to on a weekend, but I've gone there few times not having booked.

There's a non-recyclable trailer just a few yards from the mini roundabout. I lob stuff in there. No one has ever challenged me.

Keep it quiet, but you can just turn up at Llansamlet unannounced. You just have to tell the Gestapo that you didn't realize it was booking only. They will then give you a dressing down but will allow you to dispose of your waste if you promise not to be naughty again.

Clyne is your best bet for black bags. They don’t check in there. As others have said, they can be arses in Llansamlet.

Don’t try and go there in a van even if no sign writing unless it’s a hire van and you can show proof of residency rental agreement etc. Or if personal van proof it’s not used for business purposes.

I’ve got stuff I’d like to take to tip that I can’t fit in the car have unmarked work van but no chance.

You should be ok but who knows may be worth taking documents with you just in case they query it. Will save you a wasted journey

If you got a box transit van, you can apply to tge council and get 12 free tickets every 12 months where you can use the tip free of charge. The nazis there fckn hate it when you wind em up bout not having one....then after a bitta fun, pull 1 outa the dashboard.

I think everyone says the same about them! The most unhelpful kentz I've ever laid my eyes on, it's like it's too much trouble for some of them, to even tell you where different stuff goes.

Not all, but in the main, the majority up in llansamlet are pretty ferking useless!, non helpful gits. I have seen a few of them collecting rubbish over the years, and I reckon once they get up there, that's their easy life sorted.
