• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Well be in a minibus type van a transit independence
Check the height restrictions out, without googling I don't think that will fit. Clyne may be the best option for you! If that fails, try opposite the Cwmfelin club where Baileys Carpets was, I saw Peter Black there the other day on HTV Wales News, he was pointing at the rubbish, the sound was turned down, so I'm not sure if he was saying dump your'e black bags here. ;)

So, did Max manage to get rid of his black bags, full of cannabis plants over to Llansamlet tip before the old bill turned up? 🤔

Max, over to you... 🌿
Got turned away at Llansamlet and took ECB's advice and headed for the Recycling Plant at the Mayals and job done, saved the Mrs a job at the Ferries recycling plant , called back to the Queens for a light ale, decent day out in the end

Unpopular opinion, but maybe everyone should just put non-recyclables in black bags and put everything else in the correct skip? That's what I do when I go to Llansamlet. Sometimes they've asked to look in the black bag and after a quick scan of the contents, they can see I'm not taking the piss and they throw it in.

That's what we do down at the skips in the ferry, been emptying parents house and two black bags were full of all sorts, would have been a nightmare to sort out thankfully its slowly but surely coming to an end, but I agree with what you say, it was a one off though we got rid of other stuff as well which did go into the appropriate skips, it doesn't condone the two black bags though or course.

I had to clear a relative's house in the last couple of years and I almost certainly wasn't practising what I preach by the end of it, so I sympathize!

Have you tried this Max?
Not one for ale, but this was bought for me and is quite enjoyable...

Yes I have on draft and from the bottle and funnily enough I nearly bought a few bottles in Tesco Llansamlet yesterday, Mrs needed to pick up some odds and ends so we called there after my attempt to dump stuff off at Llansamlet and I saw it by the bottles of Welsh Pale Ale that I bought and I was tempted.

Clyne is your best bet for black bags. They don’t check in there. As others have said, they can be arses in Llansamlet.
They are brilliant in Clyne. They do have a special x ray machine that you cant see so they know if you have recyclable stuff in your black bags mind

On a separate note, why the feck does everyone have to go all the way to Llansamlet to drop off wood. Mad that we all have to drive miles past clyne to get rid of wood that people dont like us burning

We didn't have any wood luckily.
