When you see Premier League players talk to each other at the end of the game they usually put their hands over their mouths to make sure no lip readers can say what they said .
Yep, but those are usually friendly conversations they want to be private. When a player is angry at another player in the heat of the moment, how often do you see them take the time to cover their mouths before shouting at each other?

It suggests the Benfica player had decided he was going to be racist and didn't want any proof of it. The premeditated aspect makes it even worse. Given the recent racist behaviour of Argentine players, it's not a stretch to believe Vinicius on this one.

Disgusting that the lad has had to put up with this.

Or is he just covering his arse to keep his job
Could be either. Only he knows. I’ll take him at face value. He made a mistake and has apologised. Unlike Mourinho who said much the same thing, is in a much better position to influence both player and events at the time and in the aftermath and has a long history of being a massive failure as a human being.

Probably a bit of both, did seem clumsy at the time and not malicious.

I would expect anything less from
Jose. It’s a shame that lasts night happened, especially you consider the classic which was served up a few weeks prior between both clubs.

No doubt the club will get a slap on the wrist and the player hit with a 9 game ban.

I feel the punishment for this awful behaviour is nowhere near as severe as it should be.

Instant ban for club and player from the competition for a number of years if proved guilty.

Watching the Champions League game and Inter just scored after the ball hit the goalscorer’s hand.

Have they changed that law in the last year or two, as there was a period where if it hit the scorers arm it was automatically a free kick.

No wonder nobody has a clue with the handball law if it’s changing every season!
