• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Extending Congreve for a year makes sense, give Sheehan a chance to look at him this summer and see if he's developed while out on loan. Would be a bonus if he could fill one of the CM slots.

For me Congreeve needs to step up and it's make or break for him. Yes Martin destroyed him, but his defensive needed working on and I hope he is the player that many bigger clubs was looking at few seasons ago.

I like what little I’ve seen of Congreve. I’m almost certain that if he isn’t given the opportunity to develop here he will flourish elsewhere.

I thought that after posting, but wasn't he described as an attacking midfielder when coming into the first team and we all moaned about Martin plonking him on the wing? Or am I confusing him with Abdulai?

I was hoping he could provide depth at the more attacking of the 2 CM positions (a number 8 if you like), effectively backing up Franco.

That was Abdulai who is a defensive midfielder by trade.
Williams perpetually shunted him out as a wingback

Spot on. Under Martin he was where Ronald is now. And used to cut in and shown more promise. Not sure if his natural position is more 10 or wide? Martin taking him off after 30 minutes wouldn't of helped his progress. Not to sound like Williams and doing comparisons, but word at the time when he was coming up was he had a Rooney feel to him. Let's hope he can kick on, literally.

Congreve is great subs bench potential when chasing a game.
Has the X factor to create or score a goal.

From what I have seen of Abdulai playing for Orient he has been played out wide on the left.

Both Congreve and especially Cotterill, after been selected in the recent Wales squad, will be champing at the bit when pre-season training comes along, and I have a feeling only then will we have an indication of where Sheehan sees him in the first team squad or another loan.

Congreve seems to have taken on the role of dead all specialist at Bromley . Also loads of assists with his crosses
