• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

RIP Sir Michael

Sir Michael Parkinson: Chat show host dies aged 88.
Best ever.

RIP.
Very sad. We all recognise our own mortality when these icons of our younger years pass away.
Enjoy every day, guys, you don't know which one will be your last.

Lifelong friend Dicky Bird on Talksport talking how he rang him yesterday to say goodbyes.

Heartbreaking.

Very sad news. Another part of my childhood gone.
Billy Connolly will be devastated.

88 is a good innings. Rest in peace, Michael, you were the absolute best. (And no-one mentions the Emu, OK?)

Regarding Parky you're right he was an Icon, I remember when I looked forward to his interviews, there are plenty of memorable ones, the Olly Reed one is an all time classic

RIP. Parky

Anyway Mrs Merton was the goat.

That’s why he never invited you on to the show. 😉

He really was Mr.Saturday night for millions of people....RIP...and, apart from Graham Norton's short runs of programmes, the dedicated chat show is a thing of the past...bit of a shame really...
