If the price of £12.8m is to be believed then I would call this a no-brainer.
The price is no big deal, but if you search online, he's quoted as earning anything from £25m to more than £30m a year in wages at Juventus. I doubt he's going to accept a pay cut to join them, so he could cost them over £43m this season. They could surely have addressed a bigger weakness in the team with that kind of money.
You're probably right about it being a no-brainer though, even at those kind of figures. You mention commercial impact, then there's the boost he'll bring to the players and fans, plus the importance (from a symbolic and football point of view) of stopping
him going to City.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of an old fella like this being contracted for so much wonga. Seems silly to me.

In wages? Can't see that, where did you get that figure from?

Probably right about Dan, but Ronaldo won't be taking his place, he plays where he wants floats all over the front line and pops up in various positions, very intelligent and skill full player.
Its looking like the both Manc Clubs and Chelsea are spending and spending to buy championships and trophies, top level football has long since become a circus and is only gonna get worse.

Same for Messi and PSG?

PSG would win their league without Messi at a canter with or without Messi presumably. With Ronaldo they're hoping he'll be good enough to win the PL for them, which without him they ain't got a hope...the monies thrown at these footballers is laughable, around £500k a week What about FFP, do clubs adhere to this nowadays? I'm presuming the powers that be keep a close eye 👁???

They didn’t win the league last year.
