• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A lovely part of the world 🌍

Absolutely. Haven't been down there for a while now, such a relaxed area. Great food. I always think of it as the 'proper' part of Italy, away from cities and tourists.

You’ve only got to go 50 yards along the road to be better than Shillingfords.

Hikary's is it NJ? Never tried - will have to add to my list. Genuinely never had a bad meal from Shillingford's though.

That’s the one yes. I think it’s a case of you’re either an Apple or Samsung man, a Hiks or Shillingfords man 🤣

I guess that would make Rossi's a Nokia...great back then but a bit rubbish now!

I would like to get down to the heel, have only been as far south as Lecce.

Dick Bartons on the Mumbles Road. Fish and Chips fantastic. Nicest chips I've tasted in a while, and the batter is really crispy on the fish. Good size portions as well

I've had Hikary's and it was superb, about 5 years ago though.. last time I was in the area Wetherspoons was open about 10am and it was rammed on a week day

Do they deliver, for a lazy f*cker after a couple of pints on a Saturday night?

Mate it is awesome. It's a hidden gem in European terms, IMO. Well, I suppose it depends on how people define 'awesome', but if you want a couple of beers on a quiet backroad, massive olives and grapes on the table, followed by a great pizza...

Shout out for Finnegan's Fish Bar, Baglan. Only five minutes walk from my late mum's house, and an essential stop for their excellent fish and chips on the first evening when I come over for a match.

You need to take out a loan to go there.
