• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Thinking of Woy being pissed kinda cheers me up.

They didn’t give one in the Chelsea game though. Commentator said they would have last season but the rules have changed.

I have to agree, there's been far too much fiddling with the law.
They should have left it to the ref to decide if it was deliberate ot not, with VAR to assist if required, and leave it at that. The ball is bound to hit arms accidentally from time to time, nothing should be given IMO.

Ridiculous one given to Newcastle too.

There's a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Dyer's arm was up because he was jumping. The ball comes from immediately behind him and glances off the back of his arm, he knew nothing about it. Clearly accidental and should never be a penalty. In years gone by, the ref would just say 'accidental' and wave play on.

Mourinho made the ref MoM 😂

The handball ruling is abs stupid and ruining the game.

The stats are incredible ...

Prem League pens for the first 3 weeks of the season

2019/20

8 in 30 games, 0 for handball.

2020/21 ...

20 in 26 games, 6 for handball.

FIFA have told the Prem that they've got to operate VAR and pens for handball the same as Europe.

Last season 2019/20, handball pens were ...

PL 19

La Liga 48

Serie A 57

Even Steve Bruce said it was absolutely ridiculous so respect to him for his honesty even though Toon were the beneficiaries of the stupid decision.

Of the contentious ones this weekend, I think only Maupay's was justified because his hand was up in the air, just a real shame it gave Man Utd a win. The ones against Ward & Dier were just pathetic.

When making life simpler for the ref is given greater priority than what is fair and just, you've got to wonder haven't you.
