PSV look likely to finish 2nd in the Eredivisie with van Nistelrooy, so it sounds like the Championship would be a step down for him. Yet Feyenoord are champions, their manager is being linked with Spurs and the replacement being touted is Blackburn's Jon Dahl Tomasson.

So perhaps van Nistelrooy managing a Championship club isn't that unlikely. Although I agree that if he's leaving PSV because of a lack of support from the owners, we don't make a lot of sense as a potential destination.
