• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Big Sam is now the favorite to become next Cardiff manager.

Wont happen.
But what a combination of corruption and filth that would make.

Not sure who can save them there… still under an embargo so they can only sign loans and frees.

They simply don’t have the squad to survive

Some ambiguity over this. I've seen some reports saying the embargo is lifted but others saying they still can't players. Their caretaker is saying they're close to signing someone though.

Andy Fisher hopefully 🙏

My understanding was that the EFL embargo was lifted, whereas the FIFA restriction was still in place. Whether this still constitutes a block on incoming movement is not clear.

Vincent Tan is spending £2 million a month and won't do more than that so they can't afford Allardyce or any other established manager. They'll probably continue to promote their current staff and hope that'll work which it probably won't

I see the great unwashed are calling for Tans head Gwyn, old Vincent isn't going to like that one bit, he could basically fold Cardiff like a deckchair and not give two fooks, how funny would that be

They'd only agree if they could have 60 v 11.
How they roll.

Got this from my Millwall supporting mate this morning

Great win for us. And a good noisy boisterous crowd of Millwall fans created a great atmosphere in an otherwise dead stadium. Even that bl**dy drum couldn't generate any enthusiasm from the home crowd. Also, Cardiff are losing 1-0, Ref calls 7 minutes of extra-time and half the home fans leave! What's that about then?

Some further thoughts

Horrible supporters aren't they? Some twat kept standing up with his hand to his ear like, 'I can't hear you' and 1200 Millwall were totally drowning out the home noise. And coming out was daft - me and my lad and a mate weren't allowed to go directly to our car and along with 200 others who'd parked locally were directed by the police (in their great wisdom) to walk back through the home fans. Bang in the middle of the Cardiff lot most of the group we were in decided to give it the full, 'Miiiiiillllll'. It was like a bomb had gone off - Cardiff fans scarpering everywhere. You'd have loved it. We walked on to the car to a torrent of abuse - one chap accused me and my lad of being the scum of the earth...rude!! Pretty rich coming from someone from Cardiff I thought.

Scarpering is in their DNA unless they can outnumber by at least 6 to 1.
