• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Awful for Wales as now they need to beat Belgium to be seeded in the playoffs

Each semi final has 2 seeded teams and 2 unseeded teams

No, Wales do not need to win tomorrow.

A draw will be enough for Wales to be seeded unless Turkey beat Montenegro away by 4 goals.

Italy, Portugal, Russia & Scotland are all seeded. Sweden will almost certainly be seeded.

Austria and North Macedonia will be unseeded for definite.

If Wales draw then Poland, Finland and Czech Republic will be unseeded, together with one of Netherlands/Turkey/Norway.

Poland lost to Hungary so despite the Scotland result a point will probably still be enough. Lots of possible scenarios going on in Group G though, could be any of Turkey, Norway or Netherlands.

Actually thinking about it we probably only need to worry about Turkey. Netherlands win the group with a draw, and if they lose and finish 2nd they’re behind us with 14 points. Norway could finish second with 15 too but their goal difference is only +2 at the moment so they’d need a big win away to Netherlands as well as Turkey winning by a bigger amount in order to finish second.

Beach or not, that was a great win for Scotland tonight and they now seem to be building some real momentum. There will be some really good teams in the pot, Italy, Portugal, speak for themselves, Sweden are decent and I’d be a bit weary of Russia too as they are a big country, plenty of money which I am sure FIFA would like to tap in to - not that I am saying there’d be any match fixing!

Plenty of tough games there and we’d need to be at our best to progress.

It should be tough getting to the World Cup, to make it a worthwhile tournament. Can't see us getting there this time.

They have a number of very good Premier League players who are first choice for their clubs - unlike Wales unfortunately 😕

Watched the highlights and they played some lovely stuff. It was no smash and grab against a superior team, they could have won by a lot more. That against a team that demolished Wales in the Euros in the summer.

These playoffs are going to be very difficult, whether we get seeded or not. Whoever qualifies will have earnt it, which is as it should be, in comparison to the watered-down Euro qualification format.
