Well done bois. Great result and yet another clean sheet.

You can say that again, Bryn. Oh you did.

Another hard fought battling display by the boys. The jacks are on the march.

Job done, avoided any notion of the banana skin. Disappointed by Garrick, given a full game against low grade opposition and didn’t really grasp it.

The pro's today - Woodman , clean sheet , 5 youth players got game time and the result.

Cons - long aimless balls up front, Byers still passes backwards, the Prem striker and Dhanda having to point to Garrick where he needs to be to receive a pass.

A win was the main pro for me, and the fact that they got a good run out together and will only get better if they play more games. I'm very pleased we won really, even if I'd have forgotten it by now if we'd not. I have such fond memories of the FA Cup and being in the 4th round draw used to be just a dream then. I just wouldn't want any impact on trying to maintain league momentum this year. If we could sneak up, even for a year and be sensible, the impact on our long term security as a club could be immense.

yeah I spotted the Dhanda shout too

I'm still convinced that we'd be better off trying to convert Garrick into a striker.

I would agree with that - a back up to Jamal Lowe.

We have to remember that garrick was playing wing back, hes used to playing further up the pitch, he isnt used to having to track back and defend which i thought he did quite well.

Today will have done him the world of good, his run and cross for gyokeres goal was superb, another attacking option for cooper.

Neither Garrick nor Manning are wing backs - I hope Cooper doesn't waste their talents trying to convert them.

What is Manning them as he certainly isn’t strong enough as a straight left back. As stated by QPR fans.

Is the only position we have for him unless we put him in central midfield

JORDON GARRICK HAPPY WITH HIS CUP OPPORTUNITY

Source: Swansea Official Site

Jordon Garrick hopes to have given Steve Cooper some extra options after making his first start of the season.

The winger featured for 83 minutes on Saturday as Swansea City progressed to the FA Cup fourth round courtesy of a 2-0 victory at Stevenage.

Cooper utilised Garrick at right wing-back at the Lamex Stadium, with the 22-year-old putting in an impressive performance that included an assist against the League Two hosts.

After Wayne Routledge gave the Swans an early lead, Garrick then beat his marker for pace before setting up Viktor Gyokeres for the second goal with a perfect cross five minutes after the break.

It proved a valuable opportunity for Garrick, who had previously clocked up 47 minutes of action spread over three substitute appearances this season prior to this weekend’s cup tie.

“It is my fourth appearance, but I’m still working hard at the training ground, getting my fitness up, doing my gym work and doing stuff behind the scenes to make sure that whenever I’m called upon, I’m ready,” said Garrick.

“The team’s doing so well, so I can’t really complain too much. I just have to wait until it’s my time and then hopefully I’ll give the manager another option if I’m ever needed.

“But I’m happy to have had the opportunity to get my first start of the season.

“Playing at wing-back was different, but it was a good test for me. It’s difficult to go from being attack-minded to having to do a bit of both. But the players and manager showed some faith in me by putting me there, so I hope I did them proud and I did the best I could.”
