Playing out from the back is alway good when it works, but we’ve seen many examples this season of it not working.
We have a defence picked to play out from the back. It’d be nice to have one that was primarily picked to defend.

Not the game I was watching. He made some good saves, but he just has no command of his area on high balls. He stays rooted to the spot for corners, even when they flash across his six yard box, as per their second goal. It's always odds on the opposition are going to score from a set piece.

Yeah, I think he’s pretty crap. He stops things I’d expect anyone even pretending to be a keeper to stop. Some of his better saves are when he should have stoped the problem much earlier like the one letting the ball pass him to the unmarked guy at the back post. There was so often mayhem in the area that a better keeper would simply have stoped by being strong and claiming the ball. Instead he scurries along his line. He’s got so much to do to be what we need and I just don’t see it.

Monny, there's a double p in Stopped  ;) :D

i'd like to see manning in midfield.

if we are serious about next season, we need better at cb

Thank fck there was nothing on that for us, this lot will be the death of me.
Seriously, one hell of a game, Kiefer causing havoc, us scoring for fun, shyte officials, our keeper having a stormer.....list is endless. Am finally sat down with a stiff drink.
Night folks....and well done everyone on making it an amazing atmosphere.

Trouble is you just know that we'd be the team that got the red card.

Without a doubt, Refs get intimidated by these teams, especially when they're managed by big name managers and Ex big named players.

Manning is a decent player, but leaves himself wide open giving Refs decisions to make, thing is he ain't gonna change his playing style now, then again you got other players in other teams who are very similar, but get most of those decision's.

Couldn't really argue against that pen, Manning's arm was high and away from his body, blocking the cross. Players know the current rules, most of them keep their arms tucked in, but not our boy.

I'm bringing my boy down tonight in an attempt to get him hooked on both football and the Swans, so let's have something closer to Saturday's second half than the first please!

I hope that he enjoyed it! Apart from his Dad swearing and having a nervous breakdown of course (just a wild guess).

Hah, cheers Glyn. He enjoyed the first two goals which we had a great view of, but he struggled with the noise. Said his ears were hurting. I got him to stick it out until 75 minutes, so we were still 3-1 up when we left!

We were clinical to go 3 up, but it always looked like a flattering score. Disappointing to lose another 3 goal lead and we forced Muff to turn into route 1 sloggers assisted by a weak ref, but no doubt we need to improve in defence.

I thought tonight proved something Clive posted a few days ago, that we're always going to give teams chances playing like this and more clinical teams will take advantage. We're clearly going to struggle to challenge for promotion without tightening things up at the back.

Clever clever Bournemouth fans tonight, getting our lot singing stuff like ‘England’s full of shit’ etc, massive motivation for the English club, and, double whammy, demotivating for our English players. Got them a point and could have been all three.

Yes I agree the anti-England stuff is childish now seeing as our manager, our players and our team all are English and play in an English league.

The Welsh English thing is tedious.

Agree with the anti English thing, although some of our team are Welsh, Scottish, Dutch and Irish ( not sure if any other nationalities as well )?

Just looked at it on Sky. Definite penalty and no need of it ? Plenty of defenders on the area.
Didn't see the alleged elbow by Moore but his push on Downex prior to their third goal was blatant

Sombre mood in the office today... Muff fans pissed off because they didn't get 3 points and have let Forest in with a chance of 2nd .. I feel it was like a loss surrendering yet another lead ..

If we are to be brave we need to start learning something.. we are shipping as many goals in now similar to the start of the season so defensively are we any better off 8 months in ?

Best place for Manning is on the bench out of the starting eleven. For every decent bit of play by him he matches it with poor play & decision making. He is a liability. If we are to progress we need so much better

They have to play Florist so it's in their own hands. Don't they have any backbone down there! I thought they played quite well last night the nasty dirty lumps of shit. They have a better team than NF
