Season 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Ipswich Town | The EFL Championship

Birmingham, Sheff Wed and QPR winning is dragging us nearer the trap door.

Well lads, if you didn't think it before........we are deffo in a relegation battle now.

Lost 4 home league games on the trot for the first time since 1991 apparantly.

There's a real risk we could go down, and these last 4 or so games since LW came in have been way worse than under Sheehan.

Looks like our last game of the season home to Millwall may decide who stays up.

Just 4pts from the last relegation spot now.

Sunderland, Blackburn and Watford next.

Then, we are into back-to-back derbies, followed by a Bank Holiday weekend double header against Wednesday and QPR.

This is a genuine, no-fucking-about, proper relegation battle.

I hope Williams and the players are awake to that.

Ok, keeping it in perspective. We are where we deserve to be with the teams we've put out and the tactics we've employed that many of those players simply cannot execute. We need Key back quickly and we need to NEVER play Grimes-Fulton and Wood-Cabango ever again. Paterson has done all he ever does for a whole season, and Yates is utter dogshit, so those two need to be replaced with (two out of three) Cullen or Lowe or Patino. Then we need to keep it simple. Clean sheet is the overriding imperative in every match, not some pie in the sky 'shroomwank that a league two wannabee Pep thinks he can do in his dreams.

Anyway, another hour and a half immediately forgotten. I think I'll watch a Poirot to cheer myself up.
