• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A Christmas miracle that we have gone in level.
The only real effort was from our supporters making the trip.
Please make some bloody changes 😭

Trying to be positive, I'm not sure we can play much worse than that, so I'm hopeful of improvement in the 2nd half.

Cullen or Vip off? How is that going to help?? Get Fulton off and put Franco on. Then put Bianchini on for MPH. Get Grimes out of the defence and tell him to attack at every chance. Williams has absolutely zero idea on how to coach an attacking team!
Eom isn’t doing anything out wide so bring him central.

That's precisely the problem and how modern coaches in the Martin/Williams style justify their decisions.
Has there been an era in football that has been so boring? I'm not only talking what we've been privy to for the last 4 seasons.

It seems there's a epidemic coursing through the veins of the modern game where certain stats are more important than actually scoring more goals than the opponents.

Metrics, statistical analysis, that's where the problem lies. Flair players, creative players, players who do stuff out of the usual are being increasingly sidelined by the Grimeses of the World. Racking up wonderful numbers that people can point to a spreadsheet and declare will end up in better results, whilst the entertainment decreases accordingly.
