• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I thought we were all well aware of our situation, we had two games which we hoped to get a point or two from, but expected nothing and teams below could catch up. I thought we all knew that our season saving games come after this game.

I'm just surprised that people are posting as if this is a shock to them right now.
Anything we get today or at Sunderland is a bonus really. Four home games left all against teams below us - if we can't get two wins or at least a win and two draws from those four home games then we deserve to go down.

It’s actually much better than I expected in our game and much, much, much worse in all the others.

Surely the football gods won’t crush us for another 45 minutes.

Well it's either agreed beforehand or else we have a bunch of bottlers in forward positions.
Proberly Tymon is good in training. But ridiculous decision on match day. Cullen should of taken it.

We were but it's the fact that teams below us are outperforming atm that is making things more serious than people had imagined they would be post leeds game.

really gutsy first half (bar the first minute) and Swansea look the higher placed team. Clearly they have the threat but Swans have played the right game. In their faces and heads. Can we please win this one

Being objective we have been the better side in that first half.
Should be at least 1-1 and hitting the post too

Tymon's penalty wasn't a bad one, it just wasn't a great one
The keeper guesses the right way and saves it from the bottom corner

Cullen not involved enough, but hardly surprising considering the midfield.
Agreed but not sure why the hell Tymon is taking penalty. Even if he is good in training for me that's a crazy decision.

1-0 half time.
We need to be braver here as they are not at it today. We need to come out and push for the next goal in this game.

Our creativity and lack of scoring is the issue.
Yes. We’ve got no aerial threat and yet keep on crossing balls into the box from open play. Some of that crossing has been awful too. Fulton’s comes to mind.

We haven't been terrible. But have to be making sensible decisions. I'm banging on about Tymon but that is nuts. Letting him take it.

Agonising about other results is a fruitless pursuit, especially when were in a difficult run. We have two games coming up that if we win, we are safe. I've written today off already.
Agreed. We all knew that today was going to be difficult. As obvious as this is our season starts next Saturday and that will tell us what happens. We have a run of games we can now go on to win.

No one at Everton ever used to complain about Leighton Baines taking penalties.
If Tymon had scored then none of us would have even mentioned it.
I have seen far worse penalties than his that go in

Got to be one of the worst penalties I've seen. What on earth is he taking a pen for? Why isn't Cullen taking it?
