Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Portsmouth 4 Swansea City 0 | The EFL Championship

Jesus, I didn't realise how bad the second goal really was until I saw the replay.

Remind me again, why do we want Darling to sign a new contract?

You know what's coming. They'll sit back protecting what they have. We'll batter em but won't win.

It’s just pedestrian when you have the grimes Fulton combination (unavoidable this time I know), but what is avoidable is playing Naughton RB who is so far past it.

Understand the want to keep him around, makes sense. Also understand he would want to play, play him CB like we have previously where he won’t get exposed by his lack of pace and agility. And to top it all off LW now has this obsession with inverted full backs which again doesn’t play to Naughtons strengths…… let hope we can have a go at it in the second half

As unserious as we've looked for the most part - handing two clown goals to them on a platter - they still look awful. I'm not ruling out us getting points out of this if we can just play football like adults for a while.

I mean thats the first foot Darling has put wrong in like 6 or 7 games.
I think its more a fault of Tymon who wasn't goalside with his man and didn't have the strength to hold him off (though both were culpable it should have been Tymon to deal with that)

As soon as I saw the team line up, I knew we'd be shyte.
I really am losing patience now. If Williams can't see it, surely the owners can? We've got players on there not worth the shirt. No fight in them and precious little football ability.
The problem is that Franco is so far ahead of the other options. We massively miss him and there’s nobody else to come in who’s anywhere near as good. Without him there’s no energy in there.

This period is the most frustrated I've been in my support of the club.
It's all about just go out and play our game without any thought of actually understanding that teams will press us.

Exactly. Blaming Fulton for not being as good as Franco is pointless because nobody else we have is either. If we're pointing fingers we should be asking Captain Fantastic why he can so often be found deeper than either of our central defenders. If Fulton isn't in the middle then Grimes should be. He's the leader on the pitch. But no. He just plays his usual game padding his own possession stats.

The way we use our fullbacks leaves us wide open on the counter too. Both of them AWOL for the first goal.

We will never gain any momentum playing like this game after game bar the odd bright spark

Not unavoidable. MPH or Abdulai could play there. Literally anyone would be better. He’ll, that’s where Key is told to go anyway, play him there!

No changes... Jesus wept
Fulton stealing a living and costing us games by being the invisible man
