Absolutely no chance are Cardiff getting to 48 points.MASSIVE result that one. Huge. I think (I really don't want to say it but I will, touching wood - no, not that one, even though Joe Allen is rather sexy) we are safe now. Couple of points and we're fine.
Another win or 2. And yes, but cannot write off other teams yet.Safe now. Cardiff/Luton/Derby or Stoke for the drop.
Problem for me is, Sheehan will be now seen as tactically very good this match for the win he got it all wrong and should never go with same team. Win is a win. But I still think we need Fulton and others out. Key isn't up to being first choice. Lewis O Brien I praised alot, but is having bad habits of giving away.An atrocious game which Sheehan got tactically completely wrong.
When we made the double change we instantly looked more threatening and we got the winning goal.
Key almost gifted an equalizer by not taking charge of the bouncing ball, fortunately Joey was there to bail him out with a tackle that was as good as a goal itself.
If we put Plymouth away on Wednesday then that will be job done for the season and hopefully we will give the fringe/youth players some game time to build up some experience.
Seems like his Wales mistake has given Allen some drive. 2 massive contributions in 2 matches. We made Derby look so much better. Got to go for it on Wednesday.Fantastic result.
Everything else about that game was just dreadful.
Why did we start with that line up? Works when a team like Leeds is attacking us, really doesn’t when we are playing a team desperate to nick a goal from a long throw at home.
Derby are awful and yet we made that so difficult.
Anyway. Never mind. Three points was the only thing that mattered today. Not great for stress levels though.
Btw - Joe Allen may be older now but he has an outstanding desire and will to win. If only he could pass that on to some of the others.
Anyone that sees that as Sheehan being tactically correct today is an idiot. A win is what mattered but we had three shots.Problem for me is, Sheehan will be now seen as tactically good this match for the win he got it all wrong and should never go with same team. I wonder if Derby's 4 wins on the bounce before today spooked them enough that the decision was to play the same way as against Leeds, even though Derby are clearly nowhere near as good a side.Fantastic result.

Should be safe but us being us let’s not tempt fateSafe now. Cardiff/Luton/Derby or Stoke for the drop.
We were lucky as hell it didn’t backfire. They came close quite a few times.I wonder if Derby's 4 wins on the bounce before today spooked them enough that the decision was to play the same way as against Leeds, even though Derby are clearly nowhere near as good a side.
We got the three points so can't complain, but it feels like this decision could easily have backfired, especially as Derby had far more shots than us (12 to 3).
