• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

87% Attacking 3rd passes - we are certainly getting in the red zone, just need a proper CF

We also seem far more expansive than Luke’s penchant for squeezing

(Vs 56% for West Brom)
This obsession with stats is killing us. The commentary on Swans TV is constantly quoting this sort of irrelevance as well.

WBA were absolutely on top that half. Irrespective of what the stats say. Anyone who’s ever watched football can see that.

We lack movement all over the pitch. No one is making space and no one is moving the ball quickly. In its own way, that half was as bad as the drubbing at Portsmouth. It’s just awful. Grimes in particular was simply dreadful that half. It may seem unfair to single him out in a sea of mediocrity but he is the one that’s supposed to be controlling the pace of our play.

Cullen is everywhere chasing his tail, can't fault is effort but why is he chasing all the way back to our 6 yard line.
Tbf on at least one occasion he had no choice because Tymon had gone walkies (as per).

On the whole I agree but I'm not sure you could say WBA were absolutely on top, apart from the last 10 mins of the first half. For 35 mins, it was just two crap teams giving the ball away to each other and running down blind alleys.

We appear to have started this half a little brighter so let's hope that continues....

No chance were they on top, there was nothing in it either way, a scrappy half by both teams.

Seen a comment or two in here saying we're bad to watch but fuck me you should try Stoke v Plymouth

Stats should form part of the end of a conversation, not the beginning -
Check out the thread and see how stats were referred to precisely in that way

It’s been a 50/50 end to end humdinger of entertainment

Shocking clearance by Franco, he seems overwhelmed in that space against far bigger specimens.
