What tees me off besides Russ is the apathy shown by the crowd when things go tits up. It's as if there's already an acceptance of extreme mediocrity.
Yes, this should be win or bust for him, but deep down we know it won't be, and I suspect he does ad well.

I'm not convinced he could get us into League One's playoff places next season.

Made some big calls dropping his signings, Obafemi stance and Pato and non electric Ntcham. The last 3 performances have been an improvement and whoever signed Cundle on loan looks to have made a good choice.
Bad call on Sheff Utd subs.
Whatever his long term future I’ve enjoyed more of the last 3 games.
Bar the top of this table it’s very tight.

Agreed.

I looked earlier and I think it's 5 points separating 5th from 22nd. If we can do what we never did last season and get on a consistent good run of form, anything could happen. I'm not holding my breath though, after multiple occasions last season where a good run of results would be followed by a poor run.
