No, Williams kept his job winning every week with a 29% win rate and led us into the champions league, we were obviously winning every week, Martin was winning every week in that 23 games and 1 win against 11 men, he obviously wasn't losing.. Sheehan has a 44% win rate, 34 games 15 wins 10 draws 9 defeats.. if you didn't think we deserved a point, I'll dodge your opinions every week
Has he only lost 9 from 34? I don’t doubt the statements, but the recent history certainly makes it feel worse.

I actually think we’d benefit from playing more like the Swansea Way at the moment. Not full on Russell Martin style but actually passing into the no 6 would help. To me we don’t look at all like we’re playing Swansea Way football. This channel ball stuff and constant attacking down the wings and doing nothing else just isn’t working for us. A number 10 is also needed.
"Constant attacking down the wings" ? Not sure we're watching the same games here šŸ¤”

But I agree we need a creative 10.

I think we all get blinded by summer incomings. This year certainly created a feel good factor.
There was a huge excitement about the club again, new owners, actually interested in the football side of the club , decent money spent on better players, and celebrities coming on board to raise the profile of the club. There was a wave of enthusiasm and optimism around the club. To say the results and performances on the pitch have dampened those feelings is a massive understatement.

I concur.

I don’t know about that, after all the money spent I think it isn’t unreasonable to expect better performances than we’ve been seeing. We’re going through games hardly laying a glove on the opposition.
I'm not doubting Sheehan is under pressure and performances need to improve, but calling for his head in his first sticky patch, which every manager goes through in the championship is a bit premature and unfair, especially when we've been in every game except Leicester and Southampton.. it hasn't been pretty, but you can't just put together scintillating football every week, every game and run away with the league in the process, we've never finished in the top 2 in our history

Some of you remind me of myself back in the real bad old days, many a time I’d leave the Vetch vowing not return after watching an abysmal performance from the Swans, but as the days ticked by to another home game I’d find my passion reignited in the belief that things would get better….for several decades it never did.

Now is not the time to start panicking, so let's all step back and calm the fvck down isit. I'm sure the manager, players et al know the score, it's down to them to sort it out, and if they cant and it continues to slip down the shitter, the club know what to do. Another half a dozen games should be enough to gauge where we are going.

That post rings true.
I'm feeling a bit better than I was last night, I was fuming with yesterday's game especially the first 20 odd minutes.
The players put a shift in last night and could have come away with something in the end but I feel formation and set up has let them down from the start.

We go for Saturday and hope a few lessons have been learned from last night.

It all depends on whether you believe this is a sticky patch or if there’s a fundamental flaw in how we are setting up. In truth, the only good performance I’ve seen from us this season was the second half against Sheff Wed. I don’t expect scintillating football every week, I think it’s unrealistic to expect that in any league but I would expect us to have more than 0 shots on target against QPR at home in 35 minutes. Asking for basic performances where we’re competitive and creating chances isn’t asking us to win the league.

I don't want to compare QPR to Man City and others..BUT there is a very different attacking approach that these teams take compared to the swans.
Where we are old school, constantly trying to create spaces to whip in crosses. Other teams are sliding passes into runners in the 18 yard box and then looking for cut back passes. The QPR goal was only one of multiple times that they carved us open in this way.
We need to have way more variety in our attacking with runners taking up these dangerous positions and attack through central areas with short measured passes - otherwise we will continue with the dinosaur attacking stats we see above.
Also - I don't give a flying fuck what he looks like in training - Widel starts for me (or at least gets 30 minutes) he has so much energy and attacking intent compared to anyone else we have in the advanced midfield role.
