• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

He is a good guy but it was inevitable this was going to happen from almost the start of this season. I hope he gets a job somewhere in League One and can rebuild his career. Should never have been put in this situation and slightly embarrassing all round for everybody at the club.

It is unfair to say he lost the dressing room, at no point did I sense the players anger at him or a downing of tools. They worked hard, just had a lack of direction or quality.

Also let's all drop the he's a nice guy and all of that. We know that, and we all wanted him to succeed. And as cut throat as this is, if it's done then we move on. We all know it had to be done.

The right decision. Players don't seem to know what they are doing, bottom of the stats in so many areas, and finally lost the fans on the weekend - no coming back from that. Next choice is key and it will be interesting to see which direction they take

Nice guy and did a tremendous job at the end of last season. However, the preseason friendlies and the start we made to the season has been abysmal. Preseason friendlies are usually just bollocks, but we made some league One and two teams look dynamic. We beat Sheffield United who were at a very low point with a new manager who was stinking the place out. We went away and got a win at Sheff Wednesday who were also at a very low point. Blackburn where Franco scored a wonder goal and we turned it around. Norwich where 2 Vipotnik thunderblasters got us a win against another team at their lowest ebb. Decent performances v Preston and Charlton, but lacking a killer punch.

The players can take the blame for their performances too. But you look at Peterborough and Williams. A change of manager has seen them dump the scum out of the FA Cup and they beat Wimbledon 5-0. They were playing atrocious under Ferguson. Hopefully we will get someone who will mend the fractures and inspire the team and get the fans back singing from the same Hymn sheet. #AbertaweAmByth

Why is your writing all in bold? 🤔

Zidane said he’s coming back to management very soon, can’t believe they’ve pulled this off.

I feel for Sheehan more than most of the other managers we’ve sacked over the years.

This has been the first poor spell he’s ever had as a Manager and I think you could sense in his interviews and appearances he didn’t really know how to combat that.

I think ultimately it was the correct decision to sack him - we have invested a huge amount this summer and if we didn’t act now then we would be wasting the season away. I think if this had been any other season over the past 5/6 years then he would have kept his job at this stage.

I hope he recovers and succeeds elsewhere - met him a few times and a nice guy who has settled into the area well

Fotheringham being linked with Norwich.

Could he be the outsider? Forcing a decision?

You wanted more of what we saw on Saturday?
Absolutely no signs whatsoever he was going to turn things around & I think they've been merciful and put him out of his misery tbh!
That's not what i said is it. Personally i would have given him more time to turn things around. Hope that helps
