Just look at that Brentford line up and where those players are today, yes we can say lack of effort but we were totally outclassed

I'm sure you are right, but based on what I saw, I stand by my opinion. It was glaringly obvious to me.

We were outclassed, but there was no lack of effort. It was Cooper's tactical setup that led to us being outclassed.

He went in with exactly the same tactics that had failed time and again against Frank's team in the preceding two regular seasons, and play off semi finals. We played the same way every time - park the bus and hope Ayew did something - and only won 1 out of 7 against them. They had thumped us a few times too.

He set us up to fail.

Talking to Brentford fans after the game and one of them said something that I thought was interesting.
He said that he thought our players played as though they knew they’d be replaced in the summer if they won the game and didn’t fancy that prospect.

Of their players who took part in the game, Raya is at Arsenal and Mbeumo is at Man United. Toney is now playing for big money in a pub league but is obviously a class player and could be at a big club if he'd wanted. Norgaard is also at Arsenal but didn't come off the bench that day.

Other than those 3, the rest of their players are either still at Brentford or are at non top division teams.

Meanwhile we had Guehi starting who has been brilliant for Palace and England, is also likely to move to a big club when his contract expires after this season. We had Ayew, a long-term player at the top level. We also had Naughton, on the downslope of his career, but another highly experienced PL level player. Roberts and Hourihane also had or went on to have plenty of PL experience, although I will admit Championship was probably their level.

We finished 7 points behind them in the table and had drawn with them twice that season. Hell, we came back to draw at home after falling behind and being a man down! We were outclassed on the pitch that day, but we absolutely shouldn't have been. It was a spineless performance all around.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong, Brentford deserved to go up that season…but from the first minute or two it was apparent that we were set up as if we were playing Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, hoping to scrape a win on penalties.

The same could have been said about Curt during his time on the coaching staff, yet KOL gets a slagging and he didn't.

Swans fans eh?
If he's contributing to the on field product keep him, I've no idea what he does. I do think it should be a total clear out for the bus got to come in.

Rodgers on paper would be outstanding but you know they say never go back so I’m worried it wouldn’t work out second time around.

Also do you think Rodgers would pull in people to fill the ground again?
Fuck aye. It would overnight change things.

I’d be amazed but delighted
